26&2 Teacher Training

This thorough training prepares future instructors to lead the original 90-minute Bikram yoga class (26&2.)

A minimum of 3 months in advance, participants will begin their preparation at home by memorizing the Bikram dialogue with the mentorship of an experienced teacher. At training, participants will teach their first classes to the public and receive constructive feedback on their classes. This training also covers posture technique for the entire 26&2 class, anatomy for hot yoga teachers, teaching skills, philosophy, and ethics.

Participants will exit this training ready to teach professional, intelligent, and motivating 26&2 classes to the public.

PREPARATION

  • memorization of the Bikram dialogue with support of a remote mentor
  • 1 book report
  • 1 research assignment
  • 4-week challenge of 11 classes per week. A minimum of 7 classes each week must be 90-minute classes
  • weekly group Zoom call to work on the week’s postures


Trainees will begin their preparation process upon payment of their deposit. The latest you may begin to prepare for this training is December 16, however it is recommended to begin asap in order to have more time to complete the assignments.

AT TRAINING

  • Teach a minimum of 3 classes with supported sign-ins + feedback
  • Practice 2 classes per day- one taught by a fellow trainee, and the other by an experienced teacher
  • Technique workshops covering the entire 26&2 class

  • Intro to yoga during pregnancy

STAFF

Jasmine has been teaching for 12 years in 30+ countries. She leads trainings for e84 Yoga and Jedi Fight Club, and loves to work with both teachers-to be and yogis who want to dive into their personal practice. Jasmine competed for many years and is the 2019-21 Canadian champion. She travels most of the year for yoga trainings and events.

Stephanie went to Bikram training in 2012, and opened the doors to Humboldt Yoga in 2018, where she continues to share her passion for teaching public and private classes while also consulting in environmental science. 

LOGISTICS

  • This training takes place at Humboldt Yoga.
  • Participants are responsible for finding their own accommodation. Ask for help if you’d like to find a buddy.
  • The studio is located walking distance from cafes, restaurants, and groceries. There is no need to rent a vehicle if you stay near the studio.
  • If flying, book your flight to the Eureka Airport (ACV)

COST

$3500 USD

Upon acceptance into this training, participants will be given payment options based on their country of residence.

Payment in full is required by December 16, the registration deadline. Participants may work with any payment schedule of their choosing based on this deadline. A non-refundable $500 USD deposit is required in order to begin coursework.
